- Place the candle on a flat, stable surface protected from heat.
- For candles with several wicks, light all the wicks so that the candle burns evenly.
- Avoid burning the candle in a draft - this could cause the wax to burn unevenly.
- Do not extinguish the candle until the entire wax surface has melted because after several days of use, the candle could widen and cause an uneven and incomplete burn of the wax.
- Once extinguished, do not move the candle until the melted wax has set.
- Before reusing it, cut the wick 1 cm from the surface of the wax. Too long a wick could lead to too high a flame, uneven burning, the appearance of carbon at the end of the wick and black smoke.
- In order to preserve the scent of the candle or to protect it from dust, you can put it in a cover.
- Always keep it out of the reach of children, curtains, sofas or other flammable products.
